I finally got back to the sewing machine and finished my daughter's purse last night. I'm really pleased with how it turned out and she loves it! I made a few mistakes along the way and I did learn from them. Next time I'll know what not to do. Here is the finished project:
And a peek at the inside:
I just love the fabric. The lining is a really cute calico and the outside is a broadcloth. Now onto the next sewing project! Hopefully I can get to the laptop case over the weekend.
I was sitting outside knitting in the back yard last night and noticed some dark clouds to the north. Someone was getting rain, but not where I was, it was sunny. I looked back up and saw a rainbow! Then I noticed it was a double rainbow! It's had to see the second one in the picture (it's on the left, very faint), but it was there and really awesome to see.

That purse turned out so great. I especially like the green zipper.
I saw that same rainbow the other day when I was walking the pooch but only one.
I love that purse, especially the cherries on the lining. When I see your sewing I think "I can do that" but then I come to my senses and realize I couldn't possibly. We saw a double rainbow like that a while ago, so amazing. I'm glad you got pictures.
