Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!

OMG, I got a bonus at work! I was floored, I totally didn't expect it this year. We can have a merry Christmas in my house now! I went grocery shopping this morning, bought lots of food for my Christmas Day party, did some Christmas shopping, got caught up on some bills, and next week I have to call a plumber, ughhhhhh, but I can finally get the running toilet fixed! So Yes Virginia There Is a Santa Claus!

I stopped in Joann's to buy some gift tins for the fudge I made. Of course I had to browse the yarn aisle . . . of course. For some reason this yarn caught my eye, I petted it and walked away, looked around, came back and petted it some more and walked away. I don't know why it attracted me so, but it kept calling my name. So, I bought it! It's so soft and pretty. I have no idea what I'll make with it, maybe another headband. I just bought one skein. It sucks that they only let you use your 40% off coupon on one item.

In the meantime, I'm still working on this scarf for my daughter's friend. I just got done making her a garter stitch scarf, nice easy mindless knitting. I'm so bored with this thing though, I want to move on (and use my pretty Angel Hair!), making two garter stitch scarfs in a row is quite boring, but I'll keep plugging away. It's in fall colors, oranges, browns, yellows, but the picture makes it look red. I'm going to go knit on it some more in a while, and I'll keep my pretty Angel Hair by my side to give me incentive to keep going so I can knit something with it. This Red Heart Soft actually isn't too bad to knit with, it is really soft, occasionally it splits, but all in all it's not bad for an acrylic.

Well, I'm off to the couch . . . MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
